2021, while full of hope and also sadness for many, filled us with a profound appreciation for the good things and cherished people in our lives.

At Look. Walls & Interiors we feel tremendous gratitude for the community that supports us: our dedicated and talented in-house team, the mighty force that we call our sales team, and of course the inspiring artists and designers whose beauty is our pleasure to share.

Throughout this year, we’ve expanded not only into our new spacious studio and showroom but also in terms of our team. We’ve partnered up with many talented design sales reps who have eagerly and fiercely shared the beauty of Look wallcoverings. Thanks to our newly expanded sales team our wallcoverings are popping up in homes, residential buildings, hotels, restaurants and many other spaces from the Northeast to Southern California and everywhere in between. Their excitement and motivation inspire us all!

This year we also made a big move. Ok, our new showroom and studio are just down the street, but in terms of the space we need to create, customize and print the quality wallcovering we’re known for, our new studio feels like we’ve come a long way. It’s allowed us to grow our in-house design team so we can work with clients on the spot to create unique colorways and designs specific to their projects. Our new studio opened up more possibilities and opportunities than we could have imagined.

While it’s been safe to do so, we’ve hosted a few events with local Dallas designers and eateries. It’s been wonderful to welcome these creative and talented people into the studio! These events allowed them to experience firsthand the quality of the textiles and print capabilities we offer. In the midst of all of the fantastic growth, we also partnered with several of our favorite designers to release completely new and gorgeous wallcoverings. Through her art, the massively popular contemporary artist Jenn Thatcher creates deep emotional connections with clients. We were thrilled to collaborate with her again – this time offering her signature Black Jack design and many others she created especially for wallcovering.

Working with Grove Studio, known for luxurious products and forward-thinking design, we created the Ariel and 1965 collections, which are unlike anything we’ve ever done. The installations we’ve seen so far are stunning.

Our in-house designers brought a vision to life in the Surreal Series expanding on a client’s custom design to create an entirely abstract, marbleized collection. When printed on the Shine textile, its dimension and movement are captivating.

While we’re wrapping up 2021, we’re building momentum moving into 2022 with new collections, collaborations and planned installations already in the works. We also understand that for many 2021 also brought sadness and insecurity. Our hope is that 2022 is a year of strength where we can appreciate the obvious and the unexpected beauty around us.

Aerial and 1965, A Grove Studio | Look Walls Collaboration

Sometimes the gift of art is how it shifts our perspective in an unexpected way. In our new collab with Grove Studio, we channel vibes from the coolest decade and offer a new take on a bird’s eye view of our wondrous planet.

Let’s go back to 1965 when the Rolling Stones were on a world tour, the first American spacewalk took place and St. Louis’ Gateway Arch was complete. The 1965 Collection features “Led,” which brings back the crisp sound and the movement of vinyl from one of the most musically inspiring decades.

The classic mod shift dress and the fashion icons who made it the “it” dress inspired wallcovering designs “Twiggy,” “Brigitte” and “Audrey.” The choice of colorways and textiles combine with this subtle homage to the fashion and music of the era to provide big personality to any space.

Aerial is obvious in name but not in interpretation. By leaning into the movement of the landscape and adding subtle and even striking color palettes, Aerial is more modern than earthy. This collection varies from a geometric “Mesa” to an almost futuristic “Northern Lights.” The scene moves from calm and serene to an energetic sense of movement depending on the colorway.

Known for its luxurious products and forward-thinking design, Grove Studio looks beyond the obvious and offers a new way to look at something familiar. These new collections achieve the goal of transforming the wall into more than a structure that holds art up, but into the art itself.

As always we can’t wait to see how our interior design partners will incorporate 1965 and Aerial into their client’s spaces.

The Jenn Thatcher Collection

I’m overjoyed to be working again with my friend and talented artist Jenn Thatcher. Her latest colorful, yet light and airy wallcovering collection includes 5 inspiring designs: Isla, Ethereal, Black Jack, Peace, and Calm.

Jenn spent five years getting this collection just right. Always thinking of the client, she understands that wallcovering is a commitment and some people seek a subtle design while others may want to showcase the design prominently in their home or business. Rest assured, Jenn’s collection will fit seamlessly into any space.

And even though Jenn is an abstract artist, she loves classic details as well. She appreciates art whose meaning and beauty endure. I personally love how Jenn’s natural connection with people comes through so easily in her work.

One of her signature paintings, “Black Jack,” was the inspiration for a design of imperfect circles representing people who are more beautiful when connected. Jenn created this family portrait in abstract during her teenage son’s battle with a serious illness. Jenn openly shares their story, which has resonated with so many who identify with her pain, her love, and their strength as a family.

Another design, “Ethereal,” has already attracted influential fans including Katey McFarlan, a fashion and design influencer from Ft. Worth. Katey chose “Ethereal” in Blush for her bedroom and “Ethereal “in Blue for her powder bathroom. Don’t both colorways evoke a sense of tranquility, but in their own way?

Look Walls’ mission is to transform the often overlooked wall into a fine piece of art to be enjoyed for years to come. No matter which design or colorway you choose, the new Jenn Thatcher Collection will set the tone for your space. Look Walls & Interiors Releases ‘Surreal’ Series

High-End Wallcovering Design & Print Studio Kicks Off Spring With Marbelized, Abstract Wallcovering Collection

DALLAS – APRIL 5, 2021 – Look Walls & Interiors, a leading wallcovering design and print studio, today announced the Surreal Series of premier wallcovering. An expansion of a custom design created for a client, Surreal is an abstract, marbelized series that comes in a number of colorways and textiles, which elevate the reflective look of the design.

“Surreal fuses subtle metallics with a variety of colorways to create the perfect pop which I could see displayed on a stand-out focal wall,” explained Lindsay White, Look Walls & Interiors Founder and Principal. “We love partnering with clients to bring their vision to life, and in Surreal’s case, the Look team was inspired to create an entire series based on that vision.
